COHEED AND CAMBRIA!!!!!

I apologize for my overactive Exclamation Point Marking, but I am totally jazzed up right now.  One of my top 10 favorite bands in the whole world is playing tonight in El Paso, and I'm going to the show with Tara!  !!!!   !!!!! !!!!!

this is me finding out that i'm getting to go to the show

I've only seen them live once and that happened at the Warped Tour a few years ago.  Warped is awesome, but the bands only get to play for like 30 minutes, so you don't really get the full experience.

My first "real" shot at seeing their show was their tour with Linkin Park which ended up being canceled the day before it was supposed to happen.  It was blamed on Chester Bennington having "throat problems" but I have a sneaking suspicion that it was because of poor ticket sales.

Then Coheed hit the County Coliseum with Slipknot and because I am late everywhere I try to go, we completely missed their set.  We didn't even make it in time to see them wave goodbye.  In retrospect, I'm glad I didn't see it go down because I heard they were getting quite a few boos from an idiotic crowd who thinks that Slipknot is "heavy metal".  Lame.  To top it all off, Shannon ended up carting Tara and I around some very shady areas of El Paso trying to recover my car after it got towed from the parking lot of the Post Office.  Terrible night all around.

Tonight, nothing will stop me from having a good time.  NOTHING!!!

bam!  i've got TWO golden tickets!

I think I'll have to try and come up with a real top ten list of my favorite bands sometime soon, then you can tell me what yours are.  Maybe tonight.  (If you are a frequent reader of my ramble, most likely not until next month!)
